The Torōki Waterfall ( Japanese 轟 の 滝 or ト ロ ー キ の 滝 , Torōki-no-taki ) is a waterfall on the island of Yakushima in Kagoshima Prefecture . Located at an estuary, it is one of the rare waterfalls in the country that falls straight into the sea. The Japanese name of the waterfall 轟 ( torōki or todoro ) means "roar / thunder".
