The Torre de las Telecomunicaciones , also known as Torre Antel, is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The tallest building in the country is owned by the state telecommunications company ANTEL , which is also based there. The height of the structure in the Bay of Montevideo, which was completed in 2003, is 157 meters. It has 35 floors that are served by six elevators. The building, designed by the architect Carlos Ott , caused costs of 102 million US dollars during its construction instead of the budget of 65 million US dollars originally estimated at the start of construction in 1997.
