The Torre dei da Ponte is a tower on Lungotevere degli Altoviti 3 street in Rome . It is located 80 meters next to the bridgehead of the Engelsbrücke opposite the Castel Sant'Angelo on the banks of the Tiber and, as a watchtower and defense tower, secured the bridge and the river traffic. It has a square footprint of around ten by ten meters.

The tower was probably built in the 13th century. In a watercolor painting by the painter Ettore Roesler Franz around 1880, he can still be seen in a semi-isolated position - but without a flat roof and battlements. Today it is enclosed by buildings.
