The Total Video Converter is a Shareware - Program of EffectMatrix to convert video and audio files. In general, it is used to convert most of the modern video formats so that they can be played on various video players or shown as a photo slideshow and the converted video can be burned to DVD.

Introduced with the starting version 2.21, the Total Video Converter supports almost all video formats. However, the SWF format is not supported . The current version (3.71) converts and burns videos to Blu-ray Disc and AVCHD , a format that can be played on PlayStation 3 and Blu-ray players.

Skills

Just like many other video converters, Total Video Converter can convert numerous video and audio formats to a variety of other formats such as: B. the MP4 and AMR audio formats used by AVCHD, cell phones, PDA, etc. The current version can not only convert videos, but also includes a desktop screen capture program. This enables users to combine different video or audio files into one file, and to de-interleave and remove the sound from different videos and convert it to MP3, AAC, etc. The program also includes a feature to convert video to standard DVD compatible MPEG format and burn the file to DVD.

There are mainly two modes in Total Video Converter: the Easy mode and the Advanced mode:

Easy mode gives inexperienced users the option of simply importing a video, choosing the format they want and converting it.

In the advanced mode, which is preferably recommended for more experienced users, numerous components of the video such as size, bit rate and audio codec can be changed by the user.

The Total Video Converter runs on Windows 98/2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista and Mac OS. In the trial version, which is limited to 15 days, a watermark appears on the top left of each converted video.

In addition to Total Video Converter, users will also get Total Video Player when downloading or purchasing the program. With this program many video and audio formats such as MP4 and VOB can be played.

In 2010, Total Video Converter for Mac was released. Compared to Total Video Converter for Windows, some features like burning videos to DVD are still in development.
