Tour du Nouveau Monde is the name of a high-rise building in Paris . The building is located in the 13th arrondissement in the east of Paris and is part of the Italie 13 urban development project . The residential tower has 27 above-ground (26 living and one technical floor) and four underground floors with 260 apartments. The building is about 80 meters high, the facade facing the street is 50 m long. The building was built with exposed concrete and not plastered. A rare construction method was used, the concrete framework was poured on site and the facade was provided with prefabricated concrete slabs. The skyscraper, which belongs to the modern age, was designed by the architect Philippe Deslandes. The residential tower was completed in 1971. However, after a few years major damage to the concrete was found. Some areas of the surface were swollen, resulting in cracks and splinters. The building had to be restored at great expense.

The residential tower is very well connected to local public transport in the greater Paris area with the Chevaleret and Nationale metro stations and the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand train station. 06Paris Metro 6.svg 06Paris Metro 6.svg C.Paris RER C icon.svg
