Toyin Adewale
Toyin Adewale-Gabriel (* 1969 in Ibadan , Oyo , Nigeria ) is a Nigerian poet .
Life
Toyin Adewale studied English and literature ; from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife she received the degree of Magistra (MA).
In addition to the Nigerian audience, she also presented her works in South Africa , Germany , Austria , Sweden , Italy , the Netherlands , Luxembourg and the United States of America . She received several awards for her poetry and short prose .
Toyin Adewale also works as a literary critic for Nigerian newspapers . In 1991 she founded the Women Writers of Nigeria organization .
