TrackID was music recognition software from Sony Mobile for Android devices.

functionality

After downloading the app , short music sequences could be recorded and compared with a database of 28 million songs. If the recognition was successful, the name of the artist and the title of the track were displayed.

The connection to the music streaming - service Spotify preview the corresponding songs could be heard and the song will be added to a Spotify Playlist. The associated video could also be searched for on YouTube . In addition, further information about the artist could be called up or the search result could be shared.

On July 3, 2017, Sony announced that the service would end on September 15, 2017.
