Tragweiler

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tragweiler is an abandoned settlement about one kilometer south of Berghülen . The place name is derived from the personal name "Drago". The origin of the place can be settled around the 8th century.

According to the tradition of the Blaubeuren monastery, Tragweiler was first mentioned before 1100, when Count Heinrich von Tübingen donated his property there to this monastery. In 1359 Ulrich von Weiler transferred his property in Tragweiler to the Blaubeuren monastery. The place was mentioned in 1447 when Konrad von Helfenstein sold it to the House of Württemberg. Even in the 18th century, the place was still managed as an independent unit.
