The Train des Vignes was a shuttle train that ran between 1996 and 2012 on the Vevey – Chexbres Railway . The local wine-growing region gave it its name . Was used a railcar series SBB RBDe 560 with the vehicle number 131 and a NPZ - control car with the number 50 85 29-35 931. The train composition was wearing a yellow / blue / red tapping with the SBB logo, but only the French acronym CFF . As a substitute composition, an identically constructed train in normal paint was kept, the number of which was one higher each (560 132 and 29-35 932). In contrast to the other SBB NPZ, these vehicles were provided with a stop request (stop on request). In June 2012 the Train des Vignes was withdrawn from service and included in the modernization program (new interior fittings, air conditioning, first class and replacement of the control electronics). Since then, a modernized NPZ composition in the SBB standard colors has been running on the line, which was integrated into the Léman Express network as the S31 .
