The Trambulina Cioplea is a category K 65 ski jumping hill in the Romanian city ​​of Predeal , which is now out of service.

history

In 1928 the first ski jump, a K40 – K45, was built with the Trambulina Cioplea in Predeal. It was inaugurated on January 30, 1929. The hill was built by the Swiss engineer Straumann, was made of stone and allowed jumps of around 24 m.

In 1986 the ski jumping hill was rebuilt and expanded to a 65 meter hill, which was no longer made of stone but of steel. One of the last competitions was the Romanian championship in 2004. Today the hill is closed.

Competitions

Several Romanian championships in ski jumping were held on the Trambulina Cioplea. The first Romanian championship was held in Predeal in 1992 and the last in 2004.

Vasile Cosmeanu won the individual jumping of the Romanian championships in 1992, 1993 and 1995 . Florin Spulber won the second individual competition in 1995 . The individual jumping in 2001 was Mihai Pepene . Ciprian Ioniță won the individual competition in 2002 and the two individual competitions in 2003 . The last individual competition in a Romanian ski jumping championship was won by Csaba Magdo in 2004 .

The team competitions, at the Romanian championships, dominated the club CS Dinamo Brașov . In the years 1993 to 1995 and in the years 2002 to 2004 the club was able to win all team competitions and thus all team competitions that were held on the Trambulina Cioplea as part of the Romanian championships.
