The Tranquil Lake (English for calm lake ) is a lake fed by meltwater on Signy Island in the archipelago of the Southern Orkney Islands . It lies between Amos Lake and the Snow Hills .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1981 after its remote geographic location.
