Transfair (staff association)

transfair ( spelling in lower case) is a Swiss staff association for the public service and represents around 13,000 employees from the postal / logistics, communication, public administration and public transport sectors. The current president is CVP National Councilor Stefan Müller-Altermatt .

history

The association emerged in 2000 from the merger of the Swiss Association of Christian PTT Personnel (ChPTT), the Transport-Military-Customs Union (GCV) and the Association of Christian Federal Personnel (VCB).

Construction / structure

The association is run on a grassroots basis. The governing bodies are the board of directors and the management. The association has four regional secretariats in Bern, Lausanne, Zurich and Lugano / Lamone. The central secretariat is in Bern. The association is a member of Travail.Suisse , the Swiss umbrella organization for employees. Membership magazine is the "magazin".

  • Commissions (equality, youth, retirees)

Services

The association's work includes the representation of interests, advice and support, training, further education and training, information and public relations work, social community.
