Travail.Suisse

Travail.Suisse is a Swiss trade union umbrella organization that was founded on December 14, 2002 in Bern . The originators of this establishment were the associations and unions that were previously affiliated to the Christian National Trade Union Confederation of Switzerland (CNG) and the Association of Swiss Employees' Associations (VSA).

Travail.Suisse is the second largest umbrella organization for employees in Switzerland alongside the Swiss Confederation of Trade Unions . It represents the interests of the autonomous workers' organizations affiliated with it and their members in politics , business and society . The organization is based on the values ​​of Christian social ethics , the rules of social partnership and the basic democratic order.

Travail.Suisse positions itself as a politically and religiously independent organization . In this sense, Travail.Suisse is also open to other employee associations that respect the principles and statutes of Travail.Suisse.

Travail.Suisse has been chaired by Adrian Wüthrich since September 12, 2015 , who has also been a member of the National Council since May 29, 2018 (SP / BE). The vice-presidents are Jacques-André Maire , National Councilor (SP / NE) and Carole Furrer, President of the Interprofessional Christian Union of the Canton of Valais (SCIV) (CVP / VS).

Travail.Suisse is a member of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC).
