Adrian Wüthrich

Adrian Wüthrich (born May 7, 1980 in Langenthal ; entitled to live in Trub ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Wüthrich is the full-time president and managing director of the trade union umbrella organization Travail.Suisse . He is also President of the Bern-Canton Police Association (PVBK). He studied business administration , public management and politics at the Universities of Bern and Lausanne and completed his first year with a master's degree in public management and politics. In 2008 he became a co-partner of a newly founded building services company that was not authorized to represent . Later he also became a member of the board of directors at the ZAR training center Oberaargau-Emmental in Aarwangen . He has been a board member at the BVG rescue facility since 2015 . In 2008 he was elected to the executive branch of the municipality where he lived , which is why he moved to the Huttwil City Council in 2009, where he was head of the public security department for eight years; In 2010 he was elected to the cantonal Grand Council in the constituency of Oberaargau . He resigned on June 4, 2018.

Wüthrich had been a member of the National Council since May 29, 2018 , replacing the late Alexander Tschäppät . There he was a member of the Committee for Science, Education and Culture WBK. He was not re-elected in the 2019 Swiss parliamentary elections.

He is also President of the Oberaargau Public Transport Interest Group in Langenthal and President of the Oberaargau SP.

Wüthrich is married and has two children.
