Hans Grunder (born June 13, 1956 in Rüderswil ; resident in Vechigen ) is a Swiss politician ( BDP ).

Life

Hans Grunder lives in Rüegsauschachen . He grew up in a farming family, is married and has five children. Since 1987 he has been the owner of what is now an international surveying engineering office, Grunder Ingenieure AG, with around 140 employees. Also as, not without controversy, President of the SCL Tigers he became known nationwide. He and his family have also been breeding horses of their own since 2001 .

In 1999, Grunder was elected to represent the SVP in the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . From November 1999 to November 2006 he was Vice-President, then until 2008 President of the SVP district party Trachselwald . In the elections on October 21, 2007 , he was elected to the National Council for the 2007-2011 legislative period .

Grunder is a co-founder of the Civil Democratic Party of the Canton of Bern. On November 1, 2008, he was elected party president at the founding meeting of the BDP Switzerland. In the elections on October 23, 2011 , he was re-elected to the National Council. On May 5, 2012, Grunder resigned from the office of BDP President. Martin Landolt was his successor .
