Manfred Bühler

Manfred Bühler (born April 10, 1979 ; resident in Aeschi near Spiez ) is a Swiss lawyer and politician ( SVP ).

Life and work

Bühler comes from a farming family. He attended primary school in Cortébert and secondary school in Corgémont . He then went to the French high school in Biel and passed the Matura exams in 1998. This was followed by a law degree in Bern, which he graduated with a licentiate in 2003. In 2007 he received the advocacy license and in mid-2007 he became a partner in a law firm in Biel.

Political career

In 1998 he joined the SVP and in the same year became a member of Cortébert's municipal council, which he has been president of since 2015. In 2002 he became secretary of the SVP of the Bernese Jura and in 2004 a member of the cantonal party executive. In 2006 he was elected to the Bernese Jurassic Council, where he presides over the Justice, Parishes and Churches Commission . He has been a member of the Grand Council of Bern since 2010. Since 2012 he has been Vice President of SVP Canton Bern. In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2015 in October, Bühler was elected to the National Council, but was not confirmed four years later .
