Jean-Pierre Graber
Jean-Pierre Graber (born July 8, 1946 in La Chaux-de-Fonds , resident in Sigriswil ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).
Life
The doctorate in political science sat from 1967 to June 1979 in the local council of Le Locle , and from 1989 to 1992 in the city parliament of La Neuveville . He then moved to the executive branch of La Neuveville, of which he was a member until 2004. In addition to other, smaller offices at the local level and within the party, he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Neuchâtel from 1969 to 1979 and between 1981 and 1984 . In the 2007 elections , he made it to the National Council in the canton of Bern . Graber was a member of the National Council's finance commission. In the 2011 elections , the original Neuchâtel politician was voted out by the Bernese electorate. He landed in the place of the first person to come up. On March 2, 2015, he replaced Hansruedi Wandfluh, who had resigned . His party did not nominate him for the national elections on October 18, 2015.
Professionally, Graber worked as director of the commercial school in La Neuveville (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce) until July 2011.
Graber is a conservative , cautious economically liberal politician. He advocates a tendentially restrictive migration policy and advocates Law and Order , but a little more cautiously than most of his group colleagues. He is critical of demands for more environmental protection or a further opening up of Switzerland's foreign policy.
Graber is a member of the non-partisan committee “No to new billions for the AHV ”, which fought against the AHV initiative, which was voted on November 30, 2008.
Graber is married, has two children and now lives in the French-speaking La Neuveville (Bernese Jura).
