Syna (from the Greek. "Syn": together, together) is a Swiss interprofessional union , which in the sectors industrial , commercial and service operates. With almost 60,000 members, Syna is the second largest Swiss trade union.

It was created in 1998 from a merger of the “Christian Wood and Construction Workers Association” (CHB), Christian Trade Union for Industry, Trade and Commerce (CMV), “National Association of Free Swiss Workers” (LFSA) and “Swiss Graphic Trade Union” (SGG). In 1999 the “Association of Christian State and Community Personnel” (VCHP) also joined the Syna.

In 1998 Syna came under the umbrella of the Christian National Trade Union Confederation of Switzerland (CNG). Since 2002 it has been a member of Travail.Suisse , a Swiss umbrella organization for employees , and has 24 regional secretariats. According to the union, its activities are based on democracy , Christian social ethics and fair social partnership .

At the 2014 Congress in Brig, Syna set itself the goal of balancing work and leisure. For this reason, Syna is campaigning for a better work-life balance as well as fair and healthy working hours during this congress period. Arno Kerst has been president of the interprofessional union since October 2014.
