Transition (cybernetics)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Transition is a central term in cybernetics . W. Ross Ashby describes the transition ( process ) of a cybernetic variable (operand) as a transition . The transition is determined when one says which state in the subsequent point in time corresponds to which state in the original point in time. The variable remains, its value changes. There is also the empty transition.
