Transkribus
Transkribus is a platform for text recognition , layout analysis and structure recognition of historical documents.
It is freely accessible and is currently (June 2020) used by more than 37,000 registered users. The platform was developed as part of the EU projects tranScriptorium (2013–2015) and READ (Recognition and Enrichment of Archival Documents - 2016–2019). It was developed by the University of Innsbruck and the Digitization and Electronic Archiving Group. The platform has been operated and further developed by the European cooperative READ-COOP since July 1, 2019.
Tools from various research groups from all over Europe are integrated in the platform. The Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technologie (PRHLT) group of the Technical University of Valencia and the CITlab group of the University of Rostock should be mentioned in particular .
