Juigalpa Trappist Convent
The Trappistinnenkloster Juigalpa is since 2001 the monastery of Trappist nuns in Santo Tomás in the diocese of Juigalpa in Nicaragua .
history
The Argentine Trappist Abbey of Hinojo founded the Monasterio Santa Maria de la Paz (Maria Frieden) monastery in Santo Tomás ( Chontales Department ) in 2001 , which was promoted to a priory in 2009 . Bernhard Hombach was the founding bishop of the Juigalpa diocese . The monastery church was consecrated in 2003.
