Dream sequence

A dream sequence represents a sequence of dreams over several nights with their processing in the waking state .

Conflicts that occupy the dreamer during the day for days and months lead to " dream series " in which different aspects of the problem are dealt with. The underlying conflict is called the focal conflict , around which dreams are grouped, which draw attention to similar situations in the dreamer's past and are intended to help solve a problem .

Without working through while awake, the nightly dream work would be assumed to have too much problem-solving skills .
