Travel Promotion Act of 2009

The Travel Promotion Act (German Travel Promotion Act ) of 2009 is a federal law of the United States. Above all, it regulates the entry fee, which is levied by the federal government. Foreign nationals who stay in the United States for less than 90 days must pay. The fee is US $ 10 per person per entry. Among other things, the money will be used to finance advertising campaigns for foreign visitors.

The House of Representatives passed the bill 358: 66 (October 2009). The Senate approved the law 78:18. President Obama signed it on March 4, 2010.
