The courtship
Before the kick, the rooster woos the hen. He can do this in three ways: luring the nest, promoting food and rearing up.
procedure
In domestic chickens , the hen willing to mate crouches. The rooster holds onto the hen's neck plumage with its beak and stands on its wings. Because the hen lifts her rear end, the rooster manages to deliver its semen into the cloaca ( anus of the intestines and ovules ) of the hen.
consequences
All eggs laid remain fertilized for up to 14 days because the sperm survives in the hen's fallopian tubes. The plumage of the hens is often severely affected by the pedal stroke.
