The wide, two-story , plastered eaves house was built in the third quarter of the 18th century.

In 1893, the facade was redesigned and received plaster rustics on the ground floor and a strong cornice that visually separates the ground floor from the nine-axis upper floor.

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 747.

Extensive renovation work has been taking place on the house since the beginning of 2015.
