The Doneck Dolphins Trier are a German wheelchair basketball club based in Trier .

Structures

In 1982 a wheelchair basketball department was established at TV Germania Trier and a table tennis subdivision was established the following year . In cooperation with the major Trier sports club - TV Germania Trier , a wheelchair basketball department was founded in 1982! Otmar Passiwan acts as the head of the department, and Hilde Passiwan becomes the first specialist training manager after several training paths. A year later (1983) the table tennis subdivision was founded.

After differences with the parent club, the wheelchair sports club Rollis 1985 Trier e. V. as an independent association with the wheelchair basketball and table tennis departments. In 1997 a further department for children and youth sports was launched.

All divisions were taken over in the new legal successor wheelchair sports club ROLLIS 1985 TRIER eV (or RSC-Rollis Trier for short) on June 1, 1985.

The club has played in the 1st Bundesliga without interruption since 2003 and achieved its best result with 3rd place in the 2015/16 season. In the national cup they failed in 1994 only in the final against USC Munich with 38:52. In 2015 you could also win the Euro-Cup 2 (Andre-Vergauwen-Cup).

The best-known player in the team is the German national player and fifteen-time RBBL top scorer Dirk Passiwan .
