Triệu Thị Trinh

Triệu Thị Trinh ( Chữ nôm : 趙氏 貞), also Triệu Ẩu (趙 嫗) or Bà Triệu (婆 趙, Lady Triệu ) (* 225 ; † 248 ) was a Vietnamese military leader.

The following can be read about the Vietnamese army leader Triệu Thị Trinh in the historical work Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư : At the time of the Chinese occupation of Vietnam in 248, she formed and led an army. Mostly she rode on the head of an elephant with her breasts tied behind her back. She was finally defeated by the Chinese.
