Trifolion Echternach

The Trifolion Echternach ( proper spelling TRIFOLION ) is a concert and congress center in Echternach, Luxembourg . It started operations in April 2008 and combines cultural offerings and classic conference business with the tourism industry in the region.

Architecture and equipment

The building is part of a complex owned by the city of Echternach, which also houses the Echternach Music School with over 1,000 students and the Echternach Music Association. The five-storey building has modern rooms with new technology for a variety of uses in the event area. The concert hall, the atrium, with space for up to 700 visitors, is designed with a stepped lifting platform and acoustically for all kinds of live events and CD recordings. Another hall, the agora, with a round gallery, can accommodate around 300 guests. Further rooms are available for conferences, seminars and workshops. The foyer and the forum are used for receptions and exhibitions.

Program and service

With around 200 events annually, the Trifolion is an established event and meeting place for culture, congresses and society in Luxembourg and the cross-border region. The offer ranges from comedy & entertainment to children's events, theater & dance, exhibitions and concerts, to a literature series and the lecture series Horizonte . Artists such as Andrea Sawatzki , the Luxembourg artist Marc Schmit, Krystian Zimerman , Götz Alsmann , Peter Scholl-Latour , Richard David Precht , Manuel Andrack and Ranga Yogeschwar have been guests at the Trifolion Echternach .

Venue and partner

In addition to classical and jazz events, the Trifolion acts as the main venue for the Echternach Festival International d'Echternach , with annual concerts ranging from classical and jazz to world music. In addition, the Trifolion also offers regional associations, in particular, a platform for their projects.
