Trigger stop

HK PSG 1 with trigger stop

In precision firearms , the trigger stop is an adjusting screw on the trigger that limits the trigger path after the pressure point has been overcome.

The trigger stop holds the trigger blade after the release of the shot and prevents it from falling through. This prevents the weapon from tearing as long as the bullet passes the barrel. As a rule, the trigger stop can be adjusted in order to limit the maximum follow-up movement of the trigger after the shot has been fired.
