Trip Fontaine was a five-member rock / indie / melodic core band from Rodgau . The name Trip Fontaine comes from a character in the novel The Virgin Suicides, written by Jeffrey Eugenides (later filmed by Sofia Coppola). The last line-up was from 2005 to 2011. Distinctive features of this band are the two drummers who take turns on stage.

history

After three demos, the band released their first studio album called Lilith in 2005 on the Düsseldorf indie label Redfield Records. In December 2006, a split 10 inch vinyl was released with the befriended band Julith Krishun from Dresden. On March 7th, 2008 they released Dinosaurs In Rocketships , the vinyl version appears on the Zeitstrafe label . On October 15, 2010, the quintet released their third work called Lambada . After guitarist Timo Dries left in June 2011, the band canceled all the concerts that were still outstanding and announced that "at least for the time being, they didn't feel like it anymore" and would take a break.
