Triple incision

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Triple incision is the designation of an operation for treatment of phimosis (narrowing of the opening of the foreskin of the penis ).

The technique consists of (usually) three incisions transversely (longitudinally) through the narrowing. The cut edges are then sewn again along the narrowing (transversely), whereby the circumference of the narrowing increases in accordance with the length of the cut. From an aesthetic point of view, this technique is clearly superior to the simple incision (dorsal incision) and usually leads to a very inconspicuous result.
