The Trocellen GmbH , headquartered in Troisdorf is a company in the field of networked polyolefin - foams . Trocellen operates together with its Japanese shareholder Furukawa Electric worldwide and produces in seven countries.

Business areas and applications

The networked, closed-cell polyolefin foams are used in particular for acoustic or thermal insulation or as comfort solutions in various fields of application such as automobiles, adhesive tapes, building and construction, household and leisure, shoes, packaging or professional sports (artificial turf shock pads, martial art tatamis).

history

Trocellen was founded in 1972 as a company and brand of Dynamit Nobel and HT Troplast in Troisdorf. At the end of 2000, the Trocellen Group was converted into an independent company. In 2005 Trocellen was acquired by the Japanese companies Furukawa Electric and Otsuka Chemical . Due to a change in the shareholder structure, Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. the sole shareholder of Trocellen since 2014.
