Chibuk

Tschibuk ( Turkish : »pipe«, »pipe pipe«) is a tobacco pipe , which consists of a lidless, small but wide clay head ( lule ), a pipe and a mouthpiece ( imam ).

application

The tobacco in the bowl of the pipe is ignited by a smoldering coal . A small metal bowl under the head is supposed to prevent the floor coverings from being destroyed by sparks. In earlier times a special servant , the chibukchi , who was also responsible for the care, carried the pipe after the respected Turk .

Manufacturing

Good jasmine tubes should come from the area around Bursa , good mouthpieces are often made from amber . For a long time, those made by Top-Hane were considered good minds.
