Tujiko Noriko

Tujiko Noriko ( Japanese 辻 子 紀 子 , Tsujiko Noriko ; * 1976 in Ōsaka ) is a Japanese musician and filmmaker .

Life

Tujiko Noriko sings in Japanese and English and is sometimes referred to by critics as "Japanese Björk", as her style with free melodies over electronic sounds is reminiscent of Björk's early, more electronic albums .

She worked for the record labels Mego and Tomlab . She published u. a. the albums Shojo Toshi , From Tokyo to Naiagara and together with Aoki Takamasa the album 28 .

Since 2005 she has worked on various film projects, including with Saâdane Afif . She realized her own film projects under the titles Sun and Sand and Mini Hawaii . Her feature film Kuro was released in January 2017 , for which she wrote and directed the script together with Joji Koyama. She also played one of the two main roles.

She is mostly in Europe, especially in Paris, where she lives with her French partner and a child.
