Neuss tower

The Tower Neuss is an artistic installation in Neuss . It is located on Theodor-Heuss-Platz in front of the main post office. It is a 10 m high construction made of steel and wood in the shape of a tower. Inside is a brass cylinder that tapers towards the top .

It was created in 1985 by the Austrian architects and artists group Haus-Rucker-Co . It was initiated by Hans-Heinrich Grosse-Brockhoff , from 1985 to 1992 city director and cultural department head of the city of Neuss. Initially, the tower was accessible via stairs. In the spring of 2013, the openings of the property were fitted with grids to protect the tower from pigeon droppings and rubbish.
