The Charlat Island (French Île Charlat ) is a small island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the Graham Coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located west of the southern end of Petermann Island .
Participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) discovered it. Expedition leader Jean-Baptiste Charcot named it after the French diplomat Eugène Charlat, Vice- Consul of France in Rio de Janeiro , who assisted the research trip there.
