Turniškės

Turniškės is a district with 223 inhabitants (1959) in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , in the Antakalnis district , 8 km northeast of the city center, on the left bank of the Neris . The district is located in the Turniškės Protected Landscape Area . Around Turniškės lies the Valakampiai forest and the Turniškė flows . Turniškės was mentioned in a document in 1780. In 1969 Turniškės was annexed to Vilnius.
