Tournament qualification test

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tournament qualification test or the beginner test entitles the fencer to participate in tournaments .

After passing the exam, the examinee receives the fencing pass , in which the passed tournament qualification test is documented. The preparation up to the examination as well as the formal course of the examination is left to the individual regional associations . The sports regulations of the DFB make the following mandatory.

The exam must consist of two parts:

  1. The proficiency test
  2. The competition exam

The proficiency test

The aptitude test is a written test in which the candidate has to prove that he has sufficiently mastered the fencing rules for tournaments and that he is able to fill in a table or to see whether the referee has entered everything correctly.

The competition exam

The candidate must prove in a free battle with an opponent that he has mastered posture, basic techniques and a fair fighting style and knows how to take advantage of favorable fencing situations. Hits are not counted - taking these aspects into account, the examiner determines whether the examinee has reached competition maturity.
