Tyburn Brook

The Tyburn Brook is a watercourse in the City of Westminster , London , England . Today the watercourse runs underground and its course can no longer be seen on the surface. Its source is in the area of Marble Arch and it flows into the area of ​​the Serpentine , which makes it a tributary of the River Westbourne . It is not connected to the Tyburn, which also runs underground .

The junction of the Roman roads where Marble Arch stands today was known as Tyburn and the site of public hangings since 1196. The gallows was known as the Tyburn Tree .
