Tygodnik Ilustrowany

The Tygodnik Ilustrowany (Illustrated Weekly) was a Polish weekly magazine that was published in Warsaw from 1859 to 1939 .

The magazine was founded in 1859 by Józef Unger , who was the editor until 1874. Gracjan Unger was editor from 1874 to 1882 . In 1882 the magazine was taken over by Gebethner i Wolff .

The editors-in-chief were Ludwik Jenike (1859–1886) and then Józef Wolff (1886–1918) as well as Artur Oppman , Adam Grzymała-Siedlecki , Zdzisław Dębicki and Piotr Choynowski .

The novels Nad Niemnem by Eliza Orzeszkowa , Chłopi by Władysław Stanisław Reymont and Popioły by Stefan Żeromski have been published at Tygodnik Ilustrowany .
