Tympanic temperature

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tympanic temperature is the body temperature measured in the ear canal on the eardrum . This value is permissible as the core body temperature as long as no other methods are available ( rectal probe, etc.), as it is determined in the vicinity of the central nervous system . The accuracy is controversial.
