The 5th floorball world championship of the U-19 juniors took place from 6th to 10th May 2009 in Finland . The games took place in Turku and Raisio . 8 teams each from the A and B division took part. The divisions were divided into two groups of four. With successes in the qualifying tournament in Hungary, Russia and Hungary completed the field of participants in the B division.
The title went to Sweden, who beat hosts Finland 8: 3 in the final. Switzerland secured the bronze medal after a 7-1 victory over the Czech Republic.
