USA Cup

The USA Cup is a youth soccer tournament held annually during the summer in Blaine , Minnesota . In terms of the number of participants, it is advertised as the largest football tournament in the western hemisphere.

The tournament was first held in 1985 by the Sons of Norway . It was carried out based on the model of the Norway Cup , which has long been the world's largest youth football tournament. In the first year 69 teams took part in the tournament, eleven of them came from abroad. In 1992 the number of 500 participating teams was reached for the first time. In 2007 over 1000 teams with 16,000 participants took part in the USA Cup.

Boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 19 can take part. The games will be played at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
