USS Nevada
At least four United States Navy ships were named USS Nevada , after the 36th state of the United States of America, Nevada .
- The first Nevada was a screw steamer built in 1863, but never armed and finally sold in 1872, see Nevada (screw steamer)
- The second Nevada (BM-8) was a monitor that entered service in 1902, renamed Tonopah in 1909 , and finally sold in 1922.
- The third Nevada (BB-36) was a Nevada-class battleship that entered service in 1916, damaged during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and finally sunk in 1948.
- The fourth Nevada (SSBN-733) is an Ohio-class submarine that is armed with ballistic missiles and entered service in 1986.
