US Foods , until 2011 US Foodservice , is a Columbia- based company . The company was one of the 100 largest unlisted companies until it went public in 2016 .
The company supplies restaurants and hotels. Companies, schools and universities with food products and is active in the catering service , among other things .
After the former parent company Royal Ahold sold US Foodservice in 2007, US Foods was now jointly owned by the US companies Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts .
In 2009 the company's headquarters were relocated from Columbia to Rosemont, Illinois.
