US Ouagadougou (Union sportive de Ouagadougou) is a football club in Ouagadougou , ( Burkina Faso ).
The club, which plays in red and white, was founded in July 1961 by Jean-Pierre Yaméogo and has so far won the national championship twice (1967, 1983) and the cup competition once (2005). USO has its roots in the Larlé district .
As a cup winner, USO took part in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2006 , but was eliminated in the first round against ES Zarzis ( Tunisia ). In the 2007 cup final, the Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso team lost 2-1.
On September 27, 2008, the former international Clément Yaméogo was elected as the new President of the Executive Office. He is the successor to Félix Tiemtarboum.
