UVSOR II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UVSOR II ( Ultraviolet Synchrotron Orbital Radiation Facility ) is an electron storage ring (circumference: 53.2 m) for scientific research with synchrotron radiation in Okazaki ( Japan ) and is operated by the Japanese Institute for Molecular Science . The UVSOR II has eight dipole magnets and four undulators that provide electromagnetic radiation in a photon energy range of 1.9 eV ( electron volts ) to 4 keV. Experiments (mainly photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy ) can be carried out at a total of 16 measuring stations, nine of which are accessible for general research and seven are reserved for IMS scientists .
