The Udet U 10 was a two-seater light aircraft manufactured by Udet Flugzeugbau GmbH.
history
In terms of design, the U 10 was based on the Udet U 6 and, like this, was a cantilever low- wing aircraft with an open cockpit and two seats one behind the other. The fuselage and wings were made of wood. A machine designated as U 10a was equipped with two floats instead of the undercarriage and, instead of the Siemens & Halske Sh 4, received a Siemens & Halske Sh 11 radial engine .
The development of the aircraft began in 1924 and the first flight took place in the same year. The first D-348 to be built was the winner of class B in the " German round flight " in 1925 with pilot Carl Hochmuth on board.
A copy of the machine was reconstructed from various original components and has been on view in the German Museum of Technology Berlin since July 6, 2010 .
