Uelzener Versicherungen became known as Uelzener Tierversicherung, as it was the first insurance company to introduce animal health insurance for dogs, cats and horses in Germany.

History of the company

The company was founded in 1873 as "Viehversicherungsbank for the Province of Hanover" and as early as 1903 as "Uelzen Insurance Bank" was approved for business throughout the German Empire .
