Holmfrid Olsson (born May 20, 1943 in Rörbäcksnäs , Dalarna , Sweden, † January 27, 2009 ) was a Swedish biathlete .

Olsson came from the small community of Rörbäcksnäs near Malung-Sälen and started for the Rörbäcksnäs Skytteförening association . At the World Championships in 1966 and 1967 he won the bronze medal with the 4 × 7.5 km relay; both times the season ran with the cast of Olle Petrusson , Tore Eriksson , Olsson and Sture Ohlin . In 1966 he narrowly missed the podium in fourth place, it was his best individual placement at a major international event.

He was also part of the Swedish relay team at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble and won a bronze medal with Olle Petrusson, Lars-Göran Arwidson and Tore Eriksson. In the individual race he was able to take 20th place after six shooting errors. At the 1972 Olympic Games he was back on the Swedish Olympic team. As 21st in the individual and fifth in the relay, he was denied another medal.

Olsson died on January 27, 2009 at the age of 65.
